The Effect of Labor Medications on Normal Newborn Behavior in the First Hour After Birth: A Prospective Cohort Study
Based on a 2019 article, this online module examines the normal behavior of a healthy newborn in skin-to-skin contact with the mother in the first hour after birth, and how that behavior is affected by exposure to two common labor medications. Learn to identify typical behavior of unmedicated healthy newborns and specific differences in the behavior of newborns exposed to labor medications. 1.5 Contact Hours for RNs, 1.5L CERPs for IBCLCs, 1.5 contact hours for CLCs.
