Rescinding Evidence-Based Care and Practices During the Initial COVID-19 Outbreak in the United States

Learn about a qualitative study examining the experiences and perceptions of professional lactation support providers during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study looks at the lived experiences of lactation care providers as well as their observations of changes to evidence-based practices within their health care settings. Frontiers in Public Health just published a paper authored by the Healthy Children Project research team and colleagues about the effects of panic in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic on evidence-based practice in lactation care. The paper includes the experiences of 674 CLC who responded to the survey conducted in the summer of 2022. 1 Contact Hour for RNs, CLCs; 2.0L CERPs for IBCLCs.
